Michelin has once again topped the tyre table within Brand Finance’s ranking of the world’s strongest and most valuable brands. This calculation doesn’t include everything but Michelin achieved a brand value of US$7.7 billion and a brand strength index score of 85.8 out of 100. And what’s more, the 2022 result saw Michelin extend its lead over second-placed Bridgestone.

Climate change activists calling themselves “The Tyre Extinguishers” claim they have “disarmed” 100s of SUVs in Chelsea, Chiswick, Harley Street, Hampstead Heath, Notting Hill, Belgravia, Clapham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Sheffield, Liverpool and Edinburgh on the evening of 7 March 2022. New car buyers may have encountered the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 any time over the past couple of years, but Yokohama Rubber’s global flagship tyre is only now arriving in the aftermarket. As of spring 2022, Advan Sport V107 will be available in 30 sizes ranging from 305/35R23 111Y XL to 225/40ZR18 92Y XL. Yokohama Rubber will add new sizes during the year and expand the range to 80 SKUs (including original equipment tyres) by the end of 2022.

Michelin is an official tyre supplier for the Ferrari 296 GTB and will supply two different sets of rubber – the predominantly road-oriented Pilot Sport 4S K1 and the road legal Pilot Sport Cup 2R K2 for “drivers wishing to push the limits of their car on track.”
