Yokohama previews Geolandar A/T4

The event also showcased the rest of the company’s western European and Nordic friction winter tyre range and gave an update on the European business’s strong growth and continued plans for a European tyre manufacturing facility.

Apollo Tyres has launched its new Vredestein Ultrac Pro ultra-ultra-high-performance (UUHP) tyre. Available in 18- to 24-inch rim diameters, Ultrac Pro caters to a wide range of high-performance vehicles. As evidence of the Ultrac Pro’s performance credentials, the tyre maker points to independent testing conducted by Applus+ IDIADA. Aesthetics come courtesy of Apollo Tyres’ collaboration with Italdesign, a partnership that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Bridgestone, Kwik Fit commit to longer-term, bigger presence at The British Motor Show

Bridgestone and Kwik Fit have extended their partnership with the British Motor Show (15-18 August 2024 at Farnborough International) for a further two years. The tyre manufacturer first attended the event in 2022. In 2024, partnering with Kwik Fit, Bridgestone will be the official tyre partner of The British Motor Show as well as being the exclusive partner sponsor of the Motorsport and Modified Arena and Hall at the event.

Nova Motorsport: a new motorsport tyre brand from the UK

A new company dedicated to making low-volume racing and specialist tyres has been founded under the name Nova Motorsport. The brand is backed by its parent company, the UK rubber compounder SPC Rubber Group, and managing director Paul Hallas. He said Nova Motorsport will focus “solely on low-volume racing and specialist tyres,” with its first products and international partnerships due to be announced soon and throughout 2024. The brand has a website and social media channels in place, and will take its public bow at Retromobile – The Classic Car Show in Paris (31 January to 4 February 2024, Hall 1, Stand M-002).

More Falken all-season, winter tyres sizes now available

The Korean tyre manufacturer Kumho has developed a tyre made from 80% sustainable materials. The tyre replaces petrochemicals with sustainably sourced and recycled materials. The company has a target to develop products made entirely of sustainable materials by 2045.
