The ongoing partnership with Manchester City F.C. isn’t the only football activity that Nexen Tire is maintaining during the current season. The tyre maker has announced an extension of its sponsorship of German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. The freshly-reaffirmed relationship will continue through to the 2024/25 season.

BMW is working with several tyre makers to equip its second-generation 2 Series Active Tourer, and Nexen Tire has announced that it is one of these partners. Lower spec versions of the MPV equipped with 16-inch rims will be available with Nexen N’Fera Sport tyres in size 205/65 R16.

Renault has chosen a range of Goodyear tyres as original equipment fitments on the new Mégane E-Tech Electric. Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is the summer fitment in size 195/60R18, while Renault has opted to equip the larger 215/45R20 specification with EfficientGrip Performance tyres. Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 is also available as an all-season option in both dimensions.

A new Kenda tyre range developed specifically to meet the needs of European drivers has arrived. Kenda Tires says that Kenetica Pro KR210 is an “expansion of the tried and tested Emera A1” range. Kenetica Pro is available in 28 dimensions for 13- to 16-in rims and in T to V speed ratings. Kenada positions Kenetica Pro as a high-performance tyre for small to mid-sized cars.

The new Premier League season begins today, and Nexen Tire confirms it will continue its partnership with Manchester City F.C. in 2022/23. When players take to the field in their first-round encounter with West Ham United on Sunday, the tyre maker’s logo will again proudly feature on the left-hand shirt sleeve, as it has since 2017.

Continental Tyre Group has confirmed that its PremiumContact 7 will enter the UK tyre market in autumn 2022. According to the company, the new tyre has placed “great emphasis” on being an “all-rounder tyre for combustion engine, electric and hybrid vehicles”.
