The Goodwood Estate today announced a multi-year partnership with Pirelli that makes the Italian tyre brand the new exclusive tyre partner to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The deal with Pirelli replaces the five-year agreement with Michelin that concluded in 2022.

Having sold 18.5 million tyres last year and with revenues approaching £1 billion, Prinx Chengshan is well established as a tyre maker. The company is already present in the UK with its Austone and Fortune brands and in 2023 is launching its flagship Prinx range here. The first three tyre lines to arrive include two products for electric vehicles as well as an all-season tyre.

The ‘Option’ slick compound tyre has returned to the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch following calls for its reintroduction from drivers and teams. Goodyear brought the Option to last weekend’s BTCC round at Brands Hatch, ending the practice of providing a single slick tyre at each round, as had been the case ever since the championship embraced hybrid power in 2022.
