Three years after first appearing as a concept at the Paris Motor Show, the VW ID.3 has entered production as Volkswagen’s first dedicated electric model. Buyers can choose from three battery sizes and two motors. In order to minimise rolling resistance, VW has opted to fit the ID.3 with Continental EcoContact 6 tyres as original equipment.

Renault’s best-selling SUV is fitted with Goodyear’s 215/55 R18 95H EfficientGrip Performance tyres, after being chosen as one of the main tyre suppliers. Goodyear will also supply 215/60 R17 96H EfficientGrip Performance tyres.

January’s Autosport International 2020 show will include a range of iconic cars from the past seven decades, including some of motorsport’s most revolutionary race cars. Autosport International sales manager, Andy Stewart said: “The 2020 Autosport International Show will showcase some of the most famous world beating racing cars from seven glorious decades. Firestone has announced its shortlist of eight acts from nearly 1,000 entries to make the final of its Road to the Main Stage competition. Eyre Llew, As December Falls, Lili Caseley, The Lutras, Little Brother Eli, The Escape Artist, Jennifer Kamikazi and Just Drive have been selected, with their fate now in the general public’s hands, who will decide the overall winner in a public vote on the tyre brand’s website between October 30 and November 12.
