As the weather gets colder, road safety charity TyreSafe advises that driver make sure their tyres have plenty of tread depth and are maintained at the correct pressure. Of course, it is also good to keep the lights, windows and mirrors clean and free from ice and snow. And keeping wipers and lights in good working order is sensible too. But, sticking with your car’s seasonal footwear, what tyres are you driving on? Winter tyres, all-season tyres or summer tyres?

Suffolk Trading Standards urges caution from anyone thinking about buying part worn tyres for their vehicle. The authority is calling attention to these products after several test purchases made within the county “raised concerns”.

Pirelli has presented its tyre for the new Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo. The Pirelli P Zero DHA is the product of some seven months of close collaboration between Pirelli and Ferrari engineers. The Ferrari will wear the tyre in size 275/675-19 at the front and 315/705-19 at the rear.

Michelin is the most search tyre brand on Google in Europe, according to price comparison site Rezulteo. Rezulteo studied the popularity of tyre brands in Europe using Google search volume data for tyre manufacturers in each country from 1 August 2018 to 31 July 2019. The study took “brand name” + “tyre” queries in the official languages of each European country into account.
