The Winter Sottozero 3 was Pirelli's flagship winter product for performance vehicles, before the brand opted to bring its P Zero UHP brand into the winter market with the P Zero Winter. The Sottozero 3 has nevertheless built a great reputation, having competed well in European tyre tests for many years. It features 3D sipes - slits in the tread blocks designed to grip snow while decreasing tread deformation - as well as wide grooves for improved water and slush dispersion.
