Yokohama previews Geolandar A/T4

Yokohama Europe previewed its latest 4×4 tyre, the Geolandar A/T4, alongside the Geolandar CV S4 all-season SUV tyre in the snow of the Swedish Arctic at the start of March. The event also showcased the rest of the company’s western European and Nordic friction winter tyre range and gave an update on the European business’s strong growth and continued plans for a European tyre manufacturing facility.

Yokohama introduced the 245/75 R17 Geolandar A/T4 at the company’s Yokohama Test Centre of Sweden with a demonstration of its all-terrain prowess – a snow-covered incline at 7%, 10% and 14% gradients which it and the Ford Ranger Raptor it was equipped to easily tackled.

The new tyre features an “aggressive tread pattern and side block” and is designed to offer “off road traction and anti-cut/chipping benefits”. Not only that but it features a snowflake winter performance mark.

The new tyre will be available in 18 15-18 inch, across speed indexes R-S and BE75 label grades.
