So, Aston Martin made a vehicle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Not a concept you might one day see on the road, but a digital-only armoured SUV built specifically for the game. It’s got that full-on tactical look – big, aggressive, carrying Dakar-like double suspension and an extra-large fuel tank – but it’s also loaded with luxury car DNA. And there are no half-measures when it comes to the tyres…
In the official shots and the full-size real-life model they showed at Fanatics Fest, in New York (16 July 2026) you can see two different tread designs. One’s got that chunky block pattern you usually see on heavy machinery. The other has a more directional, cleated look. It turns out the second one shares much in common with a real tyre – the Vredestein Endurion.
The Vredestein Endurion is an agro-industrial tyre that’s normally fitted to things like telehandlers and compact loaders. Proper working rubber designed for hard surfaces, with good durability and self-cleaning. Not the kind of tyre you’d expect to see on an Aston Martin, which is exactly why it works so well in this case. It gives the Dreadnought that no-nonsense, heavy-duty feel the designers were clearly going for.
Instead of just sticking some generic aggressive-looking tyre on it, they went with something that actually exists and has a proper job in the real world.
Of course, this thing only exists in a video game for now. But if Aston ever decided to make something like this for a customer (they’ve done one-offs before), running actual industrial tyres like these would definitely add to the whole this-thing-means-business vibe. There’s just one last question, what would such tyres mean for Aston Martin-esque ride comfort?
