Korean tyre brand Nexen will supply its Nexen N’Fera Supreme S all-season tyre to the new Hyundai flagship SUV, the Palisade. The tyre is tuned for performance and comfort alongside mobility in all normal weather conditions. The new supply deal demonstrates the strides Nexen has made in its tyre technology and product quality, and illustrates its increasing competitiveness with other vaunted brands.
Nexen applied advanced technologies like artificial intelligence to enhance the N’Fera Supreme S’s ride comfort and performance. AI was used in particular to deliver a tread pattern design that successfully reduces road noise and vibrations.
The tyre has a 4D compound designed to maximise grip and optimise load distribution for high performance, heavy duty vehicles. This boosts stability and decreases driver fatigue over long distances. The tyre also has “pattern shape retention technology” to improve performance through the life of the tyre. The tyre also features an aerodynamic sidewall design, reducing air resistance and increasing fuel efficiency.
Nexen has been expanding its collaborations with global automakers, including Hyundai Motor Company. It has supplied OE tyres to key automakers in Europe and the USA since 2012, establishing itself as a supplier to leading global manufacturers, including Porsche, and increasing its brand prominence. Latterly it has used sporting sponsorships too, including becoming the official tyre of perennial English Premier League contenders, Manchester City.
