Kumho Tyres is the UK operation of Kumho Tire Co., Inc. Kumho Tire Co., Inc. is a South Korean-based tyre manufacturer headquartered in the city of Gwangju. Originally known as Samyang Tire, it was a subsidiary of the Kumho Asiana Group until December 2017. On 6 July 2018 Chinese tyre maker Qingdao Doublestar Tire completed the acquisition of a 45 per cent share in Kumho Tire.
