The Nokian Seasonproof and Seasonproof SUV represent a shift in how the Finnish tyre manufacturer approaches all-season tyres. Speaking at the launch of the new tyres, product trainer Sven Dittmann said: “After five years of development, we’re presenting a completely new product…we did not take a winter tyre and develop it into an all-season tyre, but we started from scratch, completely new, with a tyre that specially focuses on summer performance.” The marketing literature puts it like this: "Peace of mind beyond four seasons". But the basic idea is to offer "a reliable and safe all-season tyre for snowy and slushy winter days with top-notch summer performance and effortless driving feel."
