Renault’s new Arkana will exclusively ride on Kumho tyres. Depending on model, the hybrid compact SUV will wear Kumho Ecsta HS51 tyres in sizes 215/60R17 or 215/55R18.
The Arkana is already on sale in France, Germany, Italy and Spain and can now be pre-ordered in the UK for Autumn delivery. Kumho’s involvement with this latest Renault follows on from successful supply agreements for Captur and Koleos models.

Upgraded test winner
Kumho says it has “continuously upgraded” the Ecsta HS51 since its initial launch, drawing upon its experiences supplying major global car manufacturers. The tyre maker has conducted simulations by leveraging virtual product development and employed a range of measurement devices to identify optimum specifications. It also adopted anti-wear rubber and high-grip resin to maximise braking performance and wear resistance.
Thanks to “these qualities and more,” the HS51 won Auto Bild’s recent summer tyre test and gained the testers’ top ‘exemplary’ rating. Kumho notes that Auto Bild specifically commended the Ecsta HS51 for its precise steering response, secure wet grip, well-balanced handling, short braking distance, low wear rate and affordable price.
