Real Madrid CF has extended its sponsorship agreement with Hankook Tire until the end of the 2022/23 season. This continued collaboration between Spanish La Liga football club and tyre maker was sealed during a ceremony at Santiago Bernabéu stadium. Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, and Sang Hoon Lee, Hankook Tire’s president in Europe, signed the deal.
Under the tweaked agreement, Hankook receives exclusive rights to the prominent central LED board for the entire season. In addition, the brand gains further advertising opportunities within the stadium as well as via numerous online and offline activation rights.
Hankook Tire and Real Madrid have been partners since 2016. During the signing event, Sang Hoon Lee expressed his satisfaction with the agreement. “We are proud to extend our strategic alliance with one of the best football clubs in the world for another four seasons. Over the past three and a half years, Hankook and Real Madrid have grown together. Shared values and the relentless pursuit of excellence have inspired fans of both brands worldwide.”
Hankook’s sponsorship commitment goes beyond Real Madrid matches in Spain’s top La Liga football league, too. It also includes the Spanish cup competition ‘Copa del Rey’ and further activation rights for international home and away matches played by the 13-time UEFA Champions League winner.
In addition to its global involvement with Real Madrid, Hankook has sponsored the UEFA Europa League since 2012. It also sponsors German club Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco and Italy’s SSC Naples.
