Hankook Tyre UK is sponsoring the Open Day taking place on Friday 4 August to celebrate 20 years of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. Entry to the event at Chester House Estate in Northamptonshire is free and the Open Day will feature stalls, activities, music and entertainment as well as a chance to get better acquainted with the service’s helicopter, provided it isn’t called out on mission.
The Air Ambulance Service, which operates the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance, and its now six years since Hankook donated the first set of tyres for its rapid response Critical Care Cars. As the charity’s helicopters are not flown in darkness or in extreme weather conditions, the Critical Care Cars help the Air Ambulance Service continue its lifesaving service round the clock, 365 days a year. To date, Hankook has donated more than 100 tyres to the charity, with the Critical Care Cars being fitted with Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV tyres.
Hankook will exhibit at the Open Day with a Critical Care Car equipped with donated tyres on show. Other tyres on display will be the Kinergy 4S2 and the new iON evo, a tyre specifically designed for electric vehicles.
