Hankook Dynapro HPX makes its UK and European debut

Over two years after its initial reveal, the Hankook Dynapro HPX, designed for SUVs and 4×4 vehicles, is now available in the UK and Europe. As of June 2024, Hankook Tire & Technology offers the Dynapro HPX in all standard tyre sizes ranging from 16 to 19 inches.

Hankook positions the Dynapro HPX as a leader in its segment, emphasising its safety, comfort, and durability. The tyre benefits from a newly developed material composition and an enlarged contact surface that ensures uniform tread wear and high mileage. This design innovation also enhances adhesion during braking and cornering on wet surfaces.

The tyre’s performance is further supported by 3D GripControl sipes, strategically positioned on the main tread, which maintain their shape under load. This contributes to improved grip, particularly in wet conditions. Compared to its predecessor, the Dynapro HP2, the Dynapro HPX achieves a 15 per cent reduction in braking distance and a seven per cent improvement in wet handling performance.

In terms of comfort, the Dynapro HPX features a newly designed tread that incorporates knurling technology within the grooves, narrowing the air path to effectively reduce rolling noise while maintaining groove performance. Additionally, optimised outer tread blocks, with variations in their number and size, further reduce noise and enhance ride comfort.

Mileage without compromise

“With the Dynapro HPX, we are presenting the newest member of our tyre family, specifically designed to meet the diverse requirements of SUVs and all-wheel-drive vehicles,” says Sanghoon Lee, president and chief operating officer of Hankook Tire Europe. “We are proud to offer our customers a tyre with very high mileage, without any compromise on comfort and safety.”

Hankook Tire has tailored the Dynapro HPX to meet the specific needs of the European and North American markets, while also offering the tyre in other regions, including South Korea.
