How do I find my tyre size?

You can find your tyre size displayed on the side of your current tyres. It contains five important pieces of information: WIDTH, PROFILE, RIM SIZE, SPEED RATING, and LOAD INDEX.

Your tyre size is formatted like this:

205/55 R16 91V

In this example, this is what each bit means:

  • 205 = WIDTH
  • 55 = PROFILE
  • 16 = RIM SIZE
  • 91 = LOAD INDEX
  • V = SPEED RATING

You can use the tyre size to find tyres suitable for your car. Therefore, knowing the size of your tyre is an empowering first step to buying the best tyre for you online.
