Ferrari 296 GTB equipped with Michelin tyres

Everyone loves a sports car, especially a Ferrari. But when the new Ferrari 296 GTB came out on Thursday 24 June 2021, we were asking what tyres were responsible for carrying the Italian super sports car to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds?

The short story is that Ferrari hasn’t officially released details of which tyre manufacturer is supplying tyres for the 296GTB. But they have confirmed the fitment – 245/35 ZR 20 J9.0 on the front and a 305/35 ZR 20 J11.0 on the rear. The nearest we could find in our database were 245/35 R20 Y and 305/35 R20Y.

And a little detective work reveals that Michelin tyres are fitted to the launch car. Specifically, the tyres appear to be the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S model.
