Continental is supplying the original tyres to the BMW’s latest 5 Series models, including the all-electric i5. The tyre manufacturer will supply the SportContact 7 for sporty driving, the energy efficient EcoContact 6 Q summer tyre, and the WinterContact TS 860 S winter tyre.
The award-winning SportContact 7, WhatTyre’s 2023 Supersports Tyre of the Year and 2022 Tyre of the Year, offers incredible handling and short braking distances. It is also the winner of a wide variety of independent tyre tests conducted in Europe, demonstrating its ultra-high performance.
The tyre is engineered to deliver the full performance potential of the car, combining driving pleasure with the highest safety. The tyre improved on the SportContact 6 with eight and six per cent shorter braking distances in the wet and dry. The tyre also offers increased life, with mileage extended 17 per cent.

The EcoContact 6 Q offers increased driving efficiency, saving on fuel or energy consumption and reducing emissions. The tyre uses a rubber compound designed to reduce energy absorption and both friction and rolling resistance while driving. The tread is also optimised for greater comfort with lower rolling noise.
Meanwhile the WinterContact TS 860 S delivers solid grip and handling in all cold weather conditions, increasing safety in the winter months.
