Chinese tyremaker Double Coin is particularly well-known for its truck tyre production abilities, which at least partly came from its historic join venture with Michelin. However, in November 2017 Michelin announced the sale of its 40 per cent equity in Double Coin (Anhui) Warrior Tire Co. Ltd. Huayi Group (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. then purchased 30 per cent of the equity in the business held by Compagnie Financière Michelin SCmA, and Double Coin Tire Group Co., Ltd. purchased the remaining 10 per cent of the equity, currently held by Michelin (China) Investment Co. Ltd. Double Coin is currently known as Huayi Double Coin.
