Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has opened the order books for prospective ID. Buzz owners in the UK and provided information about the tyres these all-electric campervans will wear. UK customers can choose from three trim levels: Life, Style and 1st Edition. Depending on model, they will receive either Continental or Hankook tyres as standard equipment.

The Volkswagen campervan is going electric, and just like its split-screen ancestor the T1 and many other models in between, the new ID. Buzz will roll on Continental tyres. Depending on specification and market, VW will fit Continental EcoContact 6 Q tyres in sizes 235/55 R19 105T XL, 255/50 R19 107T XL, 235/50 R20 104T XL or 265/45 R20 108T XL.

Volkswagen has approved a trio of Vredestein tyre models for the latest generation of the UK’s second-best-selling car. In addition to offering the Golf 8 with the Vredestein Sportrac 5 in size 195/65R15, buyers wanting winter tyres can receive their car equipped with the Vredestein Wintrac Pro in the same dimension or the Snowtrac 5 in size 205/55R16.

Three years after first appearing as a concept at the Paris Motor Show, the VW ID.3 has entered production as Volkswagen’s first dedicated electric model. Buyers can choose from three battery sizes and two motors. In order to minimise rolling resistance, VW has opted to fit the ID.3 with Continental EcoContact 6 tyres as original equipment.
