A new company dedicated to making low-volume racing and specialist tyres has been founded under the name Nova Motorsport. The brand is backed by its parent company, the UK rubber compounder SPC Rubber Group, and managing director Paul Hallas. He said Nova Motorsport will focus “solely on low-volume racing and specialist tyres,” with its first products and international partnerships due to be announced soon and throughout 2024. The brand has a website and social media channels in place, and will take its public bow at Retromobile – The Classic Car Show in Paris (31 January to 4 February 2024, Hall 1, Stand M-002).

Bridgestone is preparing for its role as Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 supporter with its UK ambassadors, the five-time Swimming medallist, Adam Peaty, and Freestyle BMX gold medallist, Charlotte Worthington. Bridgestone’s campaign is themed around the phrase, “Prepared to perform”, and the tyre manufacturer will present insights from its ambassadors on some of the aspects of their preparation, starting with the process of visualisation.

You may not know it, but the chances are good that you have travelled in a car fitted with Landsail tyres. The brand is hugely popular in the UK. It is estimated that one in every 25 car tyres on UK roads is a Landsail product. To boost consumer awareness, Landsail has appointed its first ever brand ambassador, the motoring journalist, Car SOS TV personality and Pop Will Eat Itself percussionist, Fuzz Townshend.

Tyre brand Firestone is giving unsigned music acts a chance to shine in front of huge new audiences – including a top UK festival slot – with its Road to the Main Stage competition. More than 2,500 entries have been recorded since 2015 and voters have cast more than 10,000 votes in the last two years. TV and radio presenter Abbie McCarthy returns for a third year as the Firestone Road to the Main Stage’s ambassador.
